Medellín's Museum of Modern Art — contemporary Colombian art, cinema, sound labs, and rooftop terraces in the Ciudad del Río district.
Since 1978
The Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín — known as MAMM — was founded in 1978 and originally located in the Carlos E. Restrepo neighborhood. In 2009, it moved to a striking modernist building in Ciudad del Río, one of Medellín's former industrial zones turned cultural district.
The museum houses rotating exhibitions of contemporary Colombian and Latin American art, a cinema program, sound art labs, and multiple terraces with views of the city. It's become the anchor of Medellín's contemporary art scene.
