Local Legend
Psychedelic Geometric · Spiritual Art
Working from his marquetería (frame shop) on Transversal 41 #66 B 09, J. Builes creates vivid psychedelic paintings of spiritual figures — his meditating Jesus piece, rendered in kaleidoscopic geometric patterns, is a showstopper visible from the sidewalk.
The shop also offers framing, glass, mirrors, and decorations. Ask to see what he's working on — he's always got something new drying.

At the Palacio Nacional
The Palacio Nacional hosts dozens of artists in small gallery booths. Here are a few we've documented — visit the Palacio page for the full gallery walkthrough.
Cosmic surrealism — wheelbarrows and bicycles against fiery celestial skies. Haunting and beautiful.
Black-and-white mazes with primary color blocks. Each piece has a QR code for the artist.
Vibrant village scenes and jungle panoramas — Colombian countryside as paradise.
